2009 was an amazing year! We started it off with our trip to Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa. We spent two incredible weeks with Gavin and Lindsay Tarquinio and the kids of Ithemba. We experienced the food and culture of South Africa, and we even learned how to surf.
In February, we headed to Orlando for a Marriage Retreat organized by Orlando World Outreach Church. Pastor Tim Johnson, who used to be the chaplain for the Saints, and his wife La'chelle have invited us the past two years. This year's theme was disco, and our costumes didn't dissappoint.
Most of the next several months was spent decorating our house. We finished the kitchen, family room, dining room, downstairs bath and office in July. It was a long process, but we love the results. The office is my favorite room!
On July 18th, my sister Kelly married Jesse Dalton in Nashville, TN. The wedding was beautiful! It was fun to see all the planning come together. After their honeymoon, they returned to Indiana, where they live.
The end of 2009 has been incredible. This is our 3rd year in New Orleans, and what a blessing this 3rd year has been. We have been so blessed to be a part of a team that started the season 13-0. We have enjoyed spending time with old friends and have made some new ones as well.
As 2010 begins, God continues to bless us. We finished the regular season 13-3, winning the NFC and securing a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. And even though we lost to Carolina today, Chris had his first NFL start at Free Safety.
We are looking forward to what lies ahead in this new year...correction, new decade!

Chris & Michelle, CONGRATS on Sat. 01/16!!! 45-14 ... thought the Cards came to play, you guys took care of 'em in short order. Made Jambalaya for friends in Franklin TN, add skillet cornbread, Pecan Pie, old friends & a big win for the Saints ... can't lose! Went to The Tin Roof in Cool Springs after wearing my custom ordered Saints jersey (Redmon #33), so proud, live rock, had a blast! Went to church & lunch next morning with cousin Missy, Karen, & my Uncle James ... had much to be thankful for! Geaux Saints ... we're with you ... have been all these years. Love to all ...
