Our Night Away

Last Tuesday night, Chris and I spent the night away at Chateau Elan. We stayed in the High-Tech room at the Spa. After we arrived, we headed up to the Winery to take the Wine Tour. We tasted 10 different wines that were made on-site. We even bought a few to bring home. For dinner, we dressed up and ate at the Cafe' Elan. The food was awesome!

Since we were staying at the Spa, we had access to all the amenities, like the pool, jacuzzi, etc... On Wednesday morning, we were able to wear our robes to breakfast in the Fleur de Lis restaurant (hanging in the closet of our room were robes for us to use during our stay). After breakfast, we swam in the pool before checking-out.

Everything was supposed to be very modern in the room. Some things were, and some things used to be (there was an old mac desk top...really old).

There was a couch that was in the shape of lips and this metallic dog statue.

When is the last time that you saw an Illuma-Storm? I haven't seen one since the 90s...always lots of fun!

The bathroom was nice, with marble tile everywhere. Yes, that is a baday on the right with the towel on it.

The tub was huge and filled up in minutes. You could step from the tub right into the shower.

After we checked out on Wednesday, we went down the street to Mayfield Dairy. The had all of their ice cream flavors for $1.50 a scoop...the scoop was huge. I had Chocolate Mousse and Chris had Cookies and Cream.

This is the huge cow that is in front of the dairy.
